Urban Help Hub
Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the UrbanHelpHub marketplace, including task bookings, Helper services, payments and account responsibilities.
Effective September 21, 2026 · Last updated September 21, 2026
1. Agreement and eligibility
By creating an account or using UrbanHelpHub, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a contract in Canada. Information you provide must be accurate and current.
2. Marketplace role
Urban Help Hub operates a technology marketplace connecting Customers with independent Helpers. Helpers are not employees, agents or partners of Urban Help Hub. Unless expressly stated, Urban Help Hub does not perform the booked services and does not control how Helpers perform them.
3. Tasks and service agreements
Customers must describe tasks accurately and provide a safe, lawful work environment. Helpers decide whether to accept work and must perform accepted services professionally, safely and lawfully. The Customer and Helper are responsible for agreeing on scope, schedule and rates shown in the platform.
4. Completion and payment
Payment becomes due after the Helper marks the task complete and the Customer confirms completion. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Customers authorize the applicable task total to be charged. Helpers must complete Stripe onboarding before receiving payouts.
Urban Help Hub deducts a 30% platform commission from the service subtotal. The remaining 70%, less any separately disclosed adjustments, refunds or legally required amounts, is transferred to the Helper's Stripe balance. Stripe controls the timing of bank payouts.
5. Cancellations, refunds and disputes
Cancellations, refunds and payment disputes are governed by our Refund and Cancellation Policy. Users must contact support promptly and provide relevant evidence. Chargebacks or payment reversals may delay or reverse a Helper payout.
6. Safety and prohibited conduct
You may not use the platform for unlawful, dangerous, fraudulent, discriminatory, abusive or exploitative activity; bypass platform payment; misuse personal information; interfere with the service; or misrepresent identity, qualifications or task details. Users are responsible for assessing whether a task or Helper is suitable.
7. Accounts and content
You are responsible for your credentials and activity. You grant Urban Help Hub a non-exclusive licence to host and display content you submit as needed to operate and promote the marketplace. You must own or have permission to submit that content.
8. Suspension and termination
We may restrict or terminate access where reasonably necessary for safety, suspected fraud, non-payment, legal compliance or breach of these Terms. You may stop using the service at any time, but outstanding obligations survive.
9. Disclaimers and liability
The marketplace is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, Urban Help Hub disclaims implied warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. Courts located in Alberta have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights.
